Recent data leaks linked to a Rockstar Games security breach have revealed surprising financial figures related to Rockstar Games’s hugely popular online title GTA Online.
According to information shared by the hacking group ShinyHunters, GTA Online generated an estimated average of around $1.3 million per day between September 2025 and April 2026, primarily through Shark Cards and GTA+ subscriptions.
The data also suggests that PlayStation 5 players are the highest spenders, contributing approximately $4.4 million per week, while PC players spend significantly less compared to console users.
Out of nearly 10 million active players, only about 4% actually spend money in the game, yet this small percentage is enough to generate massive revenue for Rockstar on a daily basis.
The United States remains the biggest spending region by far, followed by the United Kingdom, which trails significantly behind in total revenue contribution.
Overall, the leaked figures highlight just how profitable GTA Online still is years after launch, with lifetime microtransaction revenue reportedly exceeding $5 billion, a key reason why the release of the next installment, GTA VI, has taken so long.
